|Course Description||This introductory level course is designed for the individual with little or no firearms experience at all. In this course, you will learn firearm safety and basic terminology to begin your handgun training path. We will discuss various aspects of handgun use/ownership, such as correct terminology, the difference between a revolver and a semi-automatic, as well as proper storage of firearms and handgun cleaning. This is a great opportunity for a beginner to ask questions, get answers, and learn in a safe, comfortable environment. This class is designed to be FUN, with emphasis on safety and proper handling of a firearm. Although there is no live ammunition in this course, students will have an opportunity to shoot an air soft pistol to demonstrate proper techniques taught in the class.
Although it is not required, we recommend any new shooter take this course prior to the TN Handgun Permit Course so that the student is better equipped to retain the information taught in the permit course.
