TN Handgun Carry Permit Course
We are currently unable to offer this course until we have a classroom that has been approved by the state.
Please click here to register for the TN Handgun Carry Permit Course. Once you have submitted the registration form, you will be taken to a selection page where you can choose the date of the course in which you would like to enroll, and make your secure online payment at that time.
The state requires that you pre-register online before coming to class. You will need your TN driver’s license, social security number, and a list of your previous addresses for the past five years to complete the online registration. Please allow 10 to 15 minutes for this portion. Once you have completed the state’s application, you will receive a confirmation number. Write this number down, because you will need it to submit your online registration to Robbins Training Institute. Please note that if we are unable to verify your pre-registration with the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security prior to the start of class, you will not receive a certificate of completion and you will not be able to apply for a handgun carry permit in the state of Tennessee. Therefore, we highly recommend that you complete the TN online pre-registration BEFORE you register for a course through RTI.
No refunds will be issued for failure to pre-register with the state and receive a confirmation number. You will still be allowed to take the class, but you will not receive a certificate of completion and you will not be able to apply for a handgun carry permit in the state of Tennessee.
We strive to offer this course several times throughout the month to fit anyone’s schedule. Please be sure to note the date and time of the course that you have chosen. This course is offered as a full-day course (10am-6pm), two evening courses (5pm-9pm two consecutive days during the week), and as a Ladies’ Only course (dates / times vary monthly). Please be sure to confirm the date/time of the class for which you are registering!
